Hello Friends and Tango Enthusiasts ! =)

I am Aldo Velásquez. I've been dancing and teaching argentine tango in copenhagen and regularly different places all over scandinavia for almost 12 years now.

I started dancing breakdance when I was 6 and started teaching dance seriously when I was 15. I've also danced hip hop, funk and rave during my youth, and did several shows imitating Michael Jackson. When I came to copenhagen I started dancing flamenco and continued with that for 6 years, taking classes with my master as well as performing with learnt and own coreographies with musicians.

The year after I started with flamenco I started with tango. I started teaching basic stuff already 1 year after I started dancing, in norway. After 2 years of tango I started teaching in copenhagen with Susanne Velasquez. From year 2000 to 2002 I regularly took private classes in Classical Ballet, Modern and Jazz with Tony Jacob, dancer from London.

The last 2 years I've been working as dancer and coreographer for the respected and reknown coreographer Eske Holm,dancer from the royal ballet of copenhagen through 26 years, doing fusion of modern, tango and flamenco.

During all this time I've also done numerous jobs and gigs of all sorts, from private arrangements to tv-jobs, and travelling regularly with tango.

This last year I also started singing tango. I did sing and play music through my youth in all kinds of different styles, ranging from heavy metal to latin folk music, and all by ear.

Now I am still waiting for the new dance project to be realized the spring 2008 with the modern dance ensemble.
