Robert presenterar sig själv så här:
I was walking home in downtown Reykjavík, when I got this funny feeling I should go to Næsti Bar. A quiet place, where people meet to chat over a beer or glass of wine. When I arrived I was welcomed by the sight of six lovely women, dressed very nicely, and only two men. I saw they were in the middle of some sort of a dance lesson. The host asked if I would like to join and explained they were teaching Argentine Tango. She explained to me that the embrace was like a gentle hug, and that my lead should be an interpretation of the song I am dancing to. After a short lesson I felt Tango was everything dancing should be.
I began dancing 3-4 nights a week in Reykjavík. Next came a trip to Buenos Aires where I studied for 6 weeks. That is where I was taught the most important lesson about Tango, pay attention to the woman and make sure she is enjoying the dance (guys this is a good rule in life too).
I try to make every Tango special and make it the dance my partner wants for that song. Here in Reykjavík again, I am dancing 4-5 nights a week. Tango has become a major part of my life. It is right there next to breathing ;-)
