Well, I'm a real grasshopper when it comes to tango. I started, on a whim, this january at the Neo Tango Club in Stavanger, Norway, and what began as a series of 6 lessons has become a twice weekly pilgrimage.

How can such a simple dance be so complicated and elegant? I have a way to go yet, but seem to pick up things fairly easily. I look forward to becoming more fluid and better at reading the leader's body language. (how come THAT is so complicated?) I find the tension between the dance's sensuallity and technique quite fascinating. But, although I take tango quite seriously, it certainly does not get in the way of having a good laugh :-).

Apart from dancing, I try to keep fit with swimming, jogging, rock-climing...whatever appeals at the time. 43 years old. Am originally English, Speak norwegian (understand Scandinavian) and german and a sprinkling of other languages, so verbal communication should not be problem.
