Tangoakademin

Tangoakademin is run by Paul Utter and Maria Ingstad. Together they teach tango dance, arrange milongas, concerts and give dance shows. They also arrange weekend workshops together with guest teachers, arrange tango festivals, sell tango shoes and are running a library of tango music and tango notes.

Tangoakademin has existed for over seven years, and now more than 200 people participate in dance courses at all levels every week.

Paul and Maria have been dancing together since 2002, and at the same time they have been running the dance school Tangoakademin in Malmö, Sweden. They have become a well-known dancing couple in Sweden as well as abroad. Their way of teaching is distinguished by presence, engagement, warmth and humour. Their lessons are well-planned and are based on a clear well-defined method. In their teaching they emphasize communication and body consciousness and they constantly develop their dance and pedagogy. Paul and Maria’s dance shows are improvised and they are known as an elegant and natural couple and also for the special chemistry that arises in the communication between them.

Tangoakademin håller hus i Källar'n på Tangopalatset i Malmö. Tangopalatset är en gammal kyrka som Paul och Maria har byggt om till ett danspalats. För mer information om vad som händer på Tangopalatset se www.tangopalatset.se
